If you have to forecast, forecast often.

Markets are moving, and they are moving fast. Change has become part of any business strategy worldwide and it is an element any company has to live with. Whether you are a small, medium or large organisation, we would definitely like to hear from you and your ideas for making algae a concrete business reality. The Algae InnovationCenter takes as starting point the existing companies on Lolland-Falster and in Region Zealand, and aims at creating new business opportunities for them, so as they can also benefit from the considerable economic potential of algae cultivation and production for –among others- biomass, energy generation, water cleansing and high-value products.

At the same time, it offers them an anchor to algae activities and businesses at national and international level, so at to have greater sources for inspiration and collaboration.

The overall aim is to create unique opportunities for business development in the local area of Lolland-Falster, a relatively peripheral area in Denmark, with unemployment rates constantly higher than national average and with a lack of university-level educational institutions.

If you get interested, have a look at the What’s in it for me? section, where we will share our ideas on how algae can contribute to business development and the expansion of a derived industry.

Under Viewpoints, we will host every month a contribution from a famous personality from the algae and business area, sharing her/his own perspective on the algae market. Finally, you can Stay Connected with other organisations experimenting or already having algae as a main business, or simply working in a relevant field for algae uses: they might be new partners in your next algae project! And of course you are always welcome to discuss your ideas in our Algae Forum,, to revise your algae knowledge through the Algae Intelligence tool or to browse the Research Portal, if you want to reach to the research community.
